I downloaded version 0.26a recently.

Here you can talk about anything related to BBC BASIC, not covered in another category

Before I downloaded version 0.26a, I used version 0.19a.

Some examples of version 0.26a are not in version 0.19a. They are snake, jigsaw, Lemmings and aliens. These examples are very nice and special. They can increase the attraction of BBCSDL. Really well done.

On the other hand, I suggest that Richard should also make LB Booster for SDL 2.0. The user base of LB Booster will become bigger because

1. Cross-platform

2. Suitable for developing games.

LB Booster, like Liberty BASIC 4 itself, is tied to Windows; indeed most of its graphics and sprite capabilities are simply thin wrappers around Windows GDI functions. To port LB4/LBB to a non-Windows platform, whilst preserving a reasonable degree of compatibility with the original, would be well nigh impossible.

Carl Gundel (the author of Liberty BASIC) has been promising a cross-platform version (LB5) for well over a decade. If it ever is released it will be interesting to see what degree of compatibility with LB4 it achieves; I don't expect it to be very good. But that can be justified on the grounds that LB5 is a 'new' language.
