It has been drawn to my attention that the latest release of BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 (v1.44a) does not run in iOS 12 - it appears to crash although that's not in fact what happens, it's a certificate validation issue.
iOS 12 was released in 2018 (albeit that it did receive an update recently) so it's not very likely that anybody is trying to use it to run BBC BASIC. Nevertheless I am investigating whether the issue can be worked around, and if it can I will release a new version.

Re: iOS 12 issue
As nobody has responded to this, can I assume that there is no demand for BBCSDL to run in iOS 12? I can fix the issue, it's a simple matter of ensuring that expired certificates are not included in the build, but I'm unsure whether it's worth the effort.Richard Russell wrote: ↑Fri 03 Apr 2026, 11:15 It has been drawn to my attention that the latest release of BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 (v1.44a) does not run in iOS 12 - it appears to crash although that's not in fact what happens, it's a certificate validation issue.
If you care about old versions of iOS, please let me know.
