usr$ location on apple phone

Post by Ric »

Afternoon all,
As the subject indicates, i would like to know where the @usr$ location on an apple phone is so i can transfer some programs to my sons phone. I have been working only with android, which is now second nature, but apple seems to be more difficult, not offering for example the option to download/upload files, only photographs.
Can anyone who uses an apple device please help.
Kind Regards Ric.

It may not always be in the same place, it might for example depend on the version of iOS (that is, after all, the very reason for giving it a symbolic name). Just enter PRINT @usr$ in immediate mode, or in a program, to find out where it is on any specific machine.

If you use iTunes (on a Windows PC) or Finder (on a Mac) you don't need to know where @usr$ is, because it automatically mounts the correct folder once you have selected BBC Basic as the destination.
