New version - BBC Basic SDL 2.0 v. 0.23a

Post by PaulMmmm »

In case anyone has missed it Richard has released version 0.23a of 'BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0'.
The main new feature is support for reading JPG, PNG and GIF images, the absence of which has been a limitation up to now.

To demonstrate this feature Richard has written a fairly fully-featured Jigsaw Puzzle program, it runs equally well on Windows, Linux, MacOS, Raspberry Pi, Android and iOS. You can add your own JPG pictures to the one supplied. http://www.bbcbasic.co.uk/bbcsdl/

Any fans of Richard can find him on Facebook and you can see the Jigsaw program there. https://www.facebook.com/pg/bbcbasic/posts/

To be able to produce a program across so many different platforms is simply amazing. I dont understand why it doesnt get more attention.
