The link shows the current tricks my character can do and I plan to add a couple more cool abilities and challenges before I focus on more levels. So far I made 4 levels, but I need to make the challenges as fun and challenging as possible.

Focus is on code subject. Feel free to judge the quality of my work.

Sadly I can't watch it as I'm not on Facebook.

I like it! It reminds me a bit of Jet Set Willy.

Hi,
Don't forget that the genre of this competition is adventure game. The finished game should make the gamers think that it is an adventure game, but not an action game.

Well the idea is Santa lost the presents and you must collect one from each level. A role playing game could involve many problem solving tasks. I recall seeing a Santa 3D demo as posted earlier. It looks like a action game too. I will finish my current project and make it more adventure like, but if there is to be a lot of dialog required, it will be what it is. I plan to make a quality action adventure and thats the goal. Winning is not as important as the tier achievement in gaming.

If you're referring to my '3D Santa' game, I didn't write the comment you responded to - that was kigohhere (a.k.a. round157 at SyntaxBomb).

I was referring to this, but I should have been more careful who I owned the link to. I will correct my previous statement.Have you seen Qube's work-in-progress effort? ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_cont ... R5ce7DE8_c
Makes me feel like giving up.
Good luck with your entry, and getting it done before the deadline.

Hi Mike,
I was also going to comment that your game is cute, but I'm not sure it will be seen as an "adventure game" - you could start a worklog at syntaxbomb, show what you are doing, and ask?
I think you could make it into an "adventure" by including suitable puzzles to solve(for example, needing to find keys/levers to unlock closed areas, etc). I don't think dialogue is a necessary part of an adventure.
Best wishes,
D

I actually was planning on doing that. There will be potions and tools you can pick up to do tasks as well, I plan to have rope climbing up and down and side ways.. So there will be tonnes of puzzle solving... and destruction of the environment.I think you could make it into an "adventure" by including suitable puzzles to solve(for example, needing to find keys/levers to unlock closed areas, etc). I don't think dialogue is a necessary part of an adventure.
