BB4W Resolution

Post by Ric »

I have been playing around with D3D and have accidently altered the output resolution of both the gui window and the run time window. Is it possible to change these back to the origional settings (what are these?) without reinstalling BB4W?

This only became apparent when i tried to run a program straight from file without going through the BB4W app. The graphics are about 30% bigger than they are supposed to be!!!!

Please help, i dont really want to reinstall

What do you mean by "altered the output resolution"? Do you mean the DPI value has changed? I don't know of any way that Direct3D could do that, certainly not so the change would be 'persistent'; that's completely outside my experience.

All I can suggest is to check that your BB4W shortcut Properties haven't mysteriously changed, particularly under Compatibility... Change high DPI settings since that's the only way I know to change the DPI value for just one program. But I'd be amazed if Direct3D could have that effect.

I'm pleased that BBCSDL uses OpenGL rather than Direct3D!

Thank you for the heads up Richard, it was the High DPI override that was affected!
The problem started when i was playing around D3D9, trying to affect the screen size and resolution. Note to self, dont do that again!!!
