OK, I've obviously misunderstood, and caused confusion.

To be explicit, here's what I find.

All the links in the first post work, and lead to functional pages, but, I note that:
1) The "wiki" link, although the actual link appears to be to .uk, actually arrives at a .net site
2) The "forum" link leads to a .uk page, which is just the splash screen - I failed to get round it to an underlying site (which isn't surprising if it isn't there!).
3) The BBC SDL home page works, but some of the links on it are to .co.uk or to .net, which may be deliberate.
4) The products page works, but some of the links on it are to .net - again, may be deliberate.
5) The forum page shows the splash screen, and the redirect now takes me to the .net site (no 404 page now!).

Hope that's helpful.

I tried to be as precise in my initial post as I could. Sorry if I failed.
1) The "wiki" link, although the actual link appears to be to .uk, actually arrives at a .net site
This is as expected. I'm taking advantage of the reorganisation to ensure that the 'critical' parts of the site (products, downloads, help manual etc.) are on a separate host from the 'vulnerable' parts (Wiki, Forum) which contain user-generated content and are the prime target for spammers and bots.
2) The "forum" link leads to a .uk page, which is just the splash screen - I failed to get round it to an underlying site (which isn't surprising if it isn't there!).
I think I've made it very clear that what I'm interested in is differences between the current bbcbasic.co.uk site and the 'clone' bbcbasic.uk site. What you've described there should be the same for both. Isn't it?
3) The BBC SDL home page works, but some of the links on it are to .co.uk or to .net, which may be deliberate.
4) The products page works, but some of the links on it are to .net - again, may be deliberate.
Again, these shouldn't be any different between bbcbasic.co.uk and bbcbasic.uk. Are you saying they are, or are you still misunderstanding what the purpose of this consultation is (to assess whether the replacement website is fully functional before I move it)?

If you wish to query or discuss aspects of the website that aren't different between the 'current' and 'new' hosts, but concern or worry you in some way, please start a new topic for that. This thread has already gone 'off the rails' a little. :(

Last call for anybody to express concern about moving bbcbasic.co.uk to a new host. If nobody objects I will initiate the transfer by changing the nameservers. I hope this isn't something I come to regret!

I have today taken the plunge and initiated the transfer; it can theoretically take up to 48 hours for the change to propagate throughout the entire DNS (which is huge) but in practice you're likely to see it happen much more quickly.

If anything doesn't seem to be right (by which I mean different from how it worked before) please report it urgently, preferably directly to me via email. I'll wait a few days before irreversibly pulling the plug on the old host.

Last call for any issues with the relocated bbcbasic.co.uk site to be reported before I finally cancel the old hosting account.

Please check everything you can think of, I would suggest as a minimum the Forum, the Wiki, the Downloads page, the Manual and (possibly most important of all) the in-browser edition of BBCSDL

Speak now or for ever hold your peace! Will I blame you if a problem is found after it's too late? Yes I absolutely will!!
