BBC BASIC discord server?

Hello,

With the forum possibly closing down soon, I was wondering if people here would be interested in joining a BBC BASIC Discord server?

If you're not aware of it, Discord is a free chat service which allows you to create chatrooms. It's marketed towards gamers but a lot of online communities unrelated to gaming communicate using Discord. I use discord myself even though I wouldn't consider myself a 'gamer'.

Can you tell us a bit more about this discord business, of which I have not previously heard. It would be a shame to lose this forum and I do think that something needs to be set up to take its place.

Discord allows you to create chat rooms about any subject. The chat history is preserved online and can be read by anyone who joins a chat room (known as a 'server' in discord lingo).

I was thinking it might be a good way for BBC BASIC users to come together and discuss the language of their projects related to it.
If this thread gets more interest I'll create a discord server with the name 'BBC BASIC' and post an invite link here.
